It's a bit early to start thinking about mince pies and mulled wine but we would love to invite you to submit artwork to our annual Christmas exhibition! The Christmas Exhibition brings together a wide range of work by artists, local and international, emerging and established. Throughout the years the exhibition has been hugely popular and attracts many visitors. It is a fantastic opportunity to have your work seen!

We'd like to encourage work in all media- printmaking, sculpture, film etc. All we ask is that your submission falls within the dimensions stated.

Submissions can be handed in to us in person or posted (please ensure the work is securely packaged). If you would like your work returned by post, please include a stamped addressed envelope.

Specification:

Max size 20cm x 20cm, min size 10cm x 10cm for 2D work.
Max size 20cm x 20cm x 20cm, min size 10cm x 10cm x 10cm for 3D work.

A limited number of DVD players and screens are available for film-based work.

All work must be labelled with the following information:

Name
Address
Phone number and/or email address
Title
Medium
Price (including 40% commission & vat)

Work must be unframed and for sale with a maximum of 5 pieces per artist.

Recognize this - this time last year ?!!

This time last year or thereabouts we were all frantically creating new pieces of work at the print workshop for the forthcoming Silver exhibition at the Kirkaldy art museum. I just came across these on my Flickr album and thought that some of you might like to have a look.

6 Sides to Every Story

As mentioned in the newsletter, "6 Sides to Every Story" is an international printmaking project. When I say mini-print , I mean mini-print.!!
The area size of surface (wood) that one has to work on is only two by two inches or 5 by 5 centimetres. Heres where you can find out more about this project. If you are interested then get moving on it, quickly.

Whats the FDPW you may be asking. Well its the Fife and Dunfermline Print Workshop blog. The aim is to provide a space where members can be informed as to what other FDPW members are up to. This meaning in terms of creative output, exhibition wise and to offer one another support and advice technically and all other printmaking related matters.
